We had a very successful race in 2016, selling out online in about 5 hours! We were fortunate to receive an increase in sponsorship, particularly from Paul Skinner’s businesses (The Carousel, Scotia Bathrooms and Scotia Gas Care) and Brooks Running UK. We are grateful for the continued support of our sponsors, which allows us, in turn, to support the fundraising efforts of the hard working organisations in our local community. This year the race has donated the following:
Later in the year the race will be making a donation of £400 to help with the provision of a defibrillator to be sited at the Community Centre.
That’s a total of about £2,500 going to support the fundraising activities of the local community that would have had to have been found elsewhere.
I’d like to express my sincere thanks to all the volunteers who give up their time every year to make the race happen and without whom we would not have this fantastic event with such a great reputation in the running community. My thanks also go to the crowds of locals who cheer the runners of all abilities along the race route. You make it a special Kinghorn evening!
