Scotrail temporary timetable
Please be aware, Scotrail have announced a new temporary timetable that will be in effect on race night. This timetable has very limited options for trains stopping in Kinghorn, and the last published train times are very early in the evening (even before the race has started! 19:36 to Edinburgh and 20:42 to Dundee).
We wrote to our local councillors, MSP and Scotrail to ask if there was any possibility of any additional services on race night but unfortunately this hasn’t materialised
We recommend finding alternatives to travelling by train this year.
Bus route information and timetables are available at: https://www.stagecoachbus.com/plan-a-journey.
For those planning to drive, please do car share where possible to help with parking in the town.
There are car parks at the Community Centre, Primary School, bottom of Pettycur Road and Pettycur Road (behind Carousel). There’s also on street parking, but we do ask you to be considerate of our neighbours and make sure drives aren’t blocked etc. If you’re parked in Kinghorn you won’t be further than a ten-minute walk/jog from the start line.
We hope you can understand this is outwith our control.

Black Rock ‘5’ 2022 Update
It has been 2 years since we held a Black Rock '5' race.....and we are determined not to make it a third!
So we are pleased to say we have booked a provisional date for this year of Friday 27th May
We need you to bear with us as we are on a learning curve for race organisation under COVID-19 guidelines, but we will be adhering to Scottish Athletics guidance between now and May to deliver a race this year in the safest way possible.
We will keep you updated as plans progress, and you can expect some changes to how things will look on race night.
Watch this space for further updates, including entries open date, and we'll see you soon for a paddle around the rock (and a beer later!).
